23 Best Kidkraft Play Kitchen Makeover 2016 – Should you follow-me on facebook or twitter you then realize this week that I picked up this KidKraft play kitchen at Crackerbarrel on clearance. We visit with Crackerbarrel frequently for lunch dates with my dad and Scarlette continues to be enthusiastic about the style they had out on a floor. We’d designed to make a DIY play home this summer however when I noticed this one was vastly reduced I snagged it because it’s small size was perfect for our area.

Here’s what I changed: I included some small command hooks underneath the microwave to ensure that she may have some extra storage space. I took the kitchen timer from Anthropologie that I’ve had forever and connected it for the front cabinet. Scarlette loves that timer and is usually looking to go off the fridge and so I thought that she’d like to own it in her own home. This is exactly what happens when you have children. You give them your nice stuff from Anthropologie. And your lovely Jenni Bowlin field. Along with your figure.
I reduce some shelf liner once you open them so that they look fun to back the stove and stove doors. I created the curtains from an old gown of Scarlette’s and so I am planning to possess a girlfriend mix some teal people up for me, but I am an awful layer machine.
I picked up the small dishes while in the kitchen area at Goal available for sale for $2. Aside from these, I just cleaned out some empty bins/boxes for her from our pantry to play with. Like girl scout cookie boxes. Slim mints, that’s what I always like to say are needed by every home. For using around the fake oven, and turns out, our measuring cups create great “pots”.
I chose to give her somewhat chalkboard place as opposed to the fake keyboard so some contact report simply cuts out and applied my corner rounder on it. I’d prepared to switch the addresses for anything a bit slimmer however decided against it out because I desired to maintain the expenses down and Scarlette believes the ones are “pwetty.”
I’m with how this all got together, really pleased. I spent $40 on materials about the kitchen and $7 since I had all the things I needed presently so my full charge emerged in at under $50. For a brandnew play kitchen, I am quite stoked about this. (And if you’re trying to find one, some visitors have told me they were ready to obtain a floor designs at a fair larger discount. Twelve pounds, like. Really!)
And since it’s just so stinkin’ pretty, here is Scarlette’s reaction when she found it for the first time ♥
Green and pink just isn’t my point though and that I thought it’d be enjoyable easily gave it somewhat remodeling to ensure that Scarlette’s play kitchen might fit our genuine kitchen (here’s a glance at it.) I thought that artwork it wouldn’t be not too easy because it would have to be constructed. I used a number of my Making Memories paints plus some Krylon Shortcuts spraypaint to alter it from green/purple/teal to red/magic. Here’s an awkward photo of me painting:
